Neil Marshall (“The Descent”) has signed on to direct a remake of “Troll Hunter”, the 2010 Norwegian film that struck a chord with genre fans when it was released, says Deadline.

The filmmaker, who has been busy directing TV (he directed the ‘Blackwater’ episode of “Game of Thrones”, and is set to direct another), hasn’t helmed a feature since 2010’s “Centurion”.

The “Troll Hunter” redo is set to get underway in 2014. Likely the same plot as the original – students investigating bear killings come across a troll hunter and a giant troll.
