A day after we got our first real look at “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay”, Entertainment Weekly have released three new stills from the upcoming installment in the trilogy “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”.
The first shot shows a suitably suspicious-looking Katniss, who has found herself back in the Hunger Games arena following a cruel twist of fate that sees the Tributes for the 75th Annual Hunger Games reaped from the existing pool of victors.
In still number two, we see Katniss, Peeta and their mentor Haymitch being escorted somewhere by a platoon of Peacekeepers, most likely during the Victory Tour following Katniss’ and Peeta’s Hunger Games win.
The final image is a direct look at Jena Malone as District 7 Victor Johanna Mason; a tough-as-nails young woman who won her Games by pretending to be weak before revealing her wicked ability to murder and maim. Surrounded by her fellow Victors, Johanna looks suitably dissatisfied and fit to kill.
With just 50 days to go until “Catching Fire” hits cinemas, we’re sure to see fan (and Ashleigh’s) excitement hit fever pitch as the Girl on Fire makes her way back to our screens.
