Some of the films and series currently being promoted/sold/on-offer/ ridiculed at this week’s Mipcom – a huge market for film buyers and sellers – in France.
There’s some good ones amongst the lot. See if you can spot them.

Animal Crackers
Starring John Leguizamo, Will Forte.
In the vein of Ocean’s Eleven – No Mission is Impossible! High concept 3D family action adventure film from the talent behind the box office sensation Shrek, Valiant and Space Chimps to name but a few.
After “Nut House Nuts Inc.” harvest the forest for their own commercial gain, recently escaped con-squirrel ‘Frankie’ must perform the heist of the century – breaking into the high-security packaging plant and salvaging all the nuts.
With the aid of his trusty right-hand porcupine ‘Cody’, and an elite team of forest dwellers, ‘Frankie’ must pull-off one last job, to save the forest animals from hunger and maybe get back the girl of his dreams…
From legendary producer John H. Williams of Vanguard Films. John has produced some of the most successful animated films of all time including our favourite ogre Shrek. Dan Krech has over twenty years experience of working in animation in Canada (Veggie Tales, Dinosaur Revolution for Discovery, Fish ‘n Chips) and in 2012 established a new animation studio, “Buffalo Media” with Phyllis Laing and Ken Zorniak.

Drive Hard
Starring Thomas Jane, John Cusack
American thief, Simon Keller (Cusack), arrives in a foreign country in need of a getaway driver. Rather than recruit one from the underworld, he takes a driving lesson from ex F-1 champion, Peter Roberts (Jane), now working as a driving instructor. After Keller robs a bank during the lesson, Roberts has no choice, but to use his driving talent to get away from pursuing police and mobsters.

American Beach house

Six lucky strangers, three handsome young guys and three sexy young women from all over America, win a random contest — an all expenses paid trip to an amazing beach house in glamorous Malibu, California — only to discover that they have to share it with each other! They’ll have the run of the luxurious home as well as their own private beach, supervised by Joe (Lorenzo Lamas), the lifeguard and relationship counselor. The catch is, according to Miss Maureen (Mischa Barton), the house mother, if anyone leaves early, then they all have to leave. “Speed” director Jan de Bont attached to direct. Two men rob a bank in tandem – one holding the bank manger’s wife hostage, the other telling the bank manager his wife will be killed in five minutes unless he transfers ten million to an account of their choosing.

Bikini Model Academy
Starring
Gary Busey, Morgan Fairchild
When
T. J. and Benji, two California twenty-something, best buddies, lose their girlfriends, they start a home grown Bikini modeling academy, to make money and meet new girls, in this wacky comedy from New Films Cinema. With a little help from T.J.’s Uncle Seymour, (Gary Busey) the guys begin recruiting pretty girls, until their old grade school enemy, Grub Snout, who owns his own modeling school, tries to shut them down. International Celebrity, Morgan Fairchild, plays the Celebrity Guest Judge, at a hot and funny Bikini Pose-Off competition between the two schools. May the hottest team win!
