Letterman to direct Captain Underpants movie

They’re making a biopic on me, already? But I haven’t even sold my first single yet!?

“Captain Underpants”, the kid’s book series by Dav Pilkey, is coming to the silver screen.

In charge of wedgies, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is “Monsters vs. Aliens” director Rob Letterman, who also helmed the god-awful “Gulliver’s Travels” (which “Underpants” scribe Nick Stoller wrote).

The flick, on a slow boil at DreamWorks Animation, tells of some kids that ”accidentally hypnotize the school’s mean principal who turns into an actual superhero.”

The flick doesn’t have a release date yet – surprisingly, they’ve usually got one of those before they’ve even got a script.
