Dolphin Tale 2
Surfer Bethany Hamilton has come aboard the Alcon Entertainment sequel. Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr, Ashley Judd, and Kris Kristofferson reprise their roles from the original hit, with real life Dolphin Hope playing herself. The film is now shooting under the direction of Charles Martin Smith in Florida. (Deadline)

Jane Wants a Boyfriend
Eliza Dushku (“Dollhouse”) and Louisa Krause (“Young Adult”) have boarded “Jane Wants a Boyfriend”, a new indie from William C.Sullivan. “Inspired by true events, the story explores a week in the life of a young woman (Krause) with Asperger’s, who enlists her older sister (Dushku) to help her find her first boyfriend.” (Deadline)
Rocker Joan Jett (“Light of Day”) will star in and produce the film about a “Venice Beach surf punk musician who befriends misfit lovebirds Jane (Estella Warren) and former pro surfer John (John Philbin) at an AA meeting.” Demian Lichtenstein’s film also stars Daryl Hannah, Tom Arnold, Margaret Cho, Meredith Baxter, and Shannen Doherty. “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” star Judy Greer looks to join Adam Sandler, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Jennifer Garner in Jason Reitman’s ”Men, Women, & Children.” The story fixes on “a family with junior high school students [that] deals with the navigation of sexual awakenings in a digital age where the internet has made pornography, blogs and social networking just a few clicks away.” (The Wrap)
