Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (“28 Weeks Later”) is in talks to direct “Pet Sematary”, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, reports Latino Review.

The book was previously made into a movie in 1989, with Mary Lambert at the helm.

Matt Greenberg and David Kajganich wrote the screenplay for the new film. Lorenzo di Bonaventura (“Transformers”) is onboard as a producer.

No word yet on which Disney Channel star will play the resurrected Gage Creed.
