Amanda Schull (“Center Stage”) and Aaron Sanford (“Nikita”) will headline a TV spin-off of Terry Gilliam’s “12 Monkeys”, according to Deadline.

Schull will play the Bruce Willis role in the series, produced by Universal Cable Productions and Atlas Entertainment.

12 Monkeys follows the journey of Cole (Stanford), a desperate and haunted time traveler from the post-apocalyptic near future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race. Schull, repped by Innovative Artists and Sweeney Entertainment, will play Cassandra Railly, a brilliant doctor who is forced to choose between her idyllic life or joining Cole’s mission to uncover the dangerous conspiracy. Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett wrote the script and co-executive produce. Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven and Richard Suckle executive produce. Filming is slated to begin in December in Detroit.

Schull, of course, is a famous ballet dancer.. as well as an actress, here’s her in action in “Center Stage” :
