Batman vs. Superman
Adam Driver, of HBO’s “Girls”, is rumoured to be up for a certain ‘sidekick’ role in the Zack Snyder-directed sequel to “Man of Steel”. The 29-year-old actor would play Dick Grayson aka Nightwing in the film, according to two individuals close to the project, should he be fingered for the part. (The Wrap)
What interested Sylvester Stallone in reprising Rocky Balboa for a seventh movie? fact it wasn’t “Rocky 7″, the actor says. “I was very interested in the premise. It’s not “Rocky 7,” it’s not near that at all. Rocky is retired, kind of set adrift. He’s very lonely in his world. His life has gone by waiting for the inevitable. The grandson of most beloved friend died in his arms and he was visiting him and this relationship starts. This person comes from an entirely different culture side of the world, and something happens that’s incredibly dramatic and profound. This is a drama, not me getting in the ring.. I thought this would be something very unique, to be able to take this character and go another generation with it and still have him be vital and relevant. Wow, that’s unique. I believe that the last film I did, “Expendables III” we took it to the max and I thought, there isn’t much further I can go with this. So I started to speak to the powers that be. I want to go back and do films like “Cop Land” and the early “Rocky”’s. I’m not giving up the action film but now it’s a suspense movie, it’s a bit more emotional.” (The Wall Street Journal)

Tom Hardy, fresh from “Mad Max Fury Road”, is said to be the favourite to play John Connor in Alan Taylor’s upcoming “Terminator” reboot. Hardy is up against such names as Nicholas Hoult and Taylor Kitsch. The movie would again star Arnold Schwarzenegger as a time-traveling cyborg who is assigned to protect Sarah Connor when she was young. Margot Robbie, Emilia Clarke and Brie Larson have been mentioned as possible Sarah Connor’s. (THR)
The Avengers 2 : Age of Ultron
Cobie Smulders will be back as Maria Hill for the next “Avengers” movie. The actress says, “I think I’m in Avengers 2, but it is very top secret. I hope I’m in Avengers 2. I didn’t get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I’m in it but they don’t know to what degree I’m in it…I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy [Ultron] is going to be very interesting.” (The Calgary-Herald)
