Anchor Bay puts Snake and Mongoos$e on the starting line

In a post AFM deal, Anchor Bay Films has purchased the US and Canadian rights to ‘Snake and Mongoo$e.’

The film, based on a true story, depicts the epic rivalry between drag racing champions Don “Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “The Mongoo$e” McEwen.

Directed by Wayne Holloway, the fast-action flick stars Jesse Williams as Snake and Richard Blake as Mongoo$e.

“We’re excited to be part of this energetic and heartfelt film. It’s a compelling story in the realm of sport classics like Brian’s Song, and we’re eager to share it with audiences early next year,” said Anchor Bay Entertainment President Bill Clark in a statement released overnight.

Despite Mr Clark’s hints at “early next year”, no release date has been announced.
