Boston boys and box-office bigwigs Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are reuniting to produce a feature film version of Vertigo’s comic book series “Sleeper” for DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. They’ll produce the film, which follows a crime-fighter who can absorb pain and pass it on to others, via their Pearl Street Productions.

According to Variety, who broke the news, the “Good Will Hunting” duo have agreed upon Shawn Ryan (“The Shield”) and David Wiener (“The Killing”) penning the screenplay. Both Ryan and Wiener worked on the short-lived series “Last Resort”.

Sam Raimi had been previously attached to produce a version of “Sleeper”.
