Scarlett Johansson ineligible for Golden Globe for her performance in ‘Her’.

If you ever hope to win a Golden Globe for your voice work you are out of luck. Scarlett Johansson, who is winning much acclaim for her voice-only role as Samantha in Spike Jonze’s “Her”, has been deemed ineligible by the HFPA for the Best Supporting Actress award at the January award show.

According to variety, the film is still eligible for other awards at the Golden Globes including Best Director for Jonze and Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix, and Johansson can submit for the Best Supporting Actress role in the SAG awards and the Oscars.

The nominations for the awards will be announced on December 12th.
