Gal Gadot to play Wonder Woman in the Batman vs. Superman movie

Taking a step out of Marvel’s playbook, the DC super film unofficially titled “Batman vs. Superman” has cast Gal Gadot (“Fast & Furious 6″) as Wonder Woman.

The film is a sequel to this years “Man of Steel” and stars both Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman.

The casting was first reported by Variety, and rumours are that The Flash is also set to make a cameo.

If this is DC trying to respond to the mega success of last years “The Avengers”, I think the real question is which brand will be the first to have a female lead superhero movie? I’m personally pulling for Black Widow.
