Sexy pants Jeffrey Dean Morgan will star opposite Gael Garcia Bernal as the baddie in Jonas Cuaron’s “Desierto” according to THR.

The thriller, set along the Mexican border, follows a group of illegal immigrants as they attempt to cross the border.

Jonas Cuaron is helming the project and coming off hot from his success with “Gravity,” which he co-wrote with his father, Alfonso Cuaron. “Desierto,” will reunite the pair as Alfonso is also set to produce alongside Carlos Cuaron and Alex Garcia, with executive producers

Bernal, Lucas Akoskin, and Santiago Garcia Galvan.

The premise, cast and talent makes “Desierto” feel promising, and I’m hoping Jonas is able to capture the same tension that “Gravity” brought, only with a little more grit.
