The Simpsons tribute the un-retired Miyazaki

The Simpsons tribute the un-retired Miyazaki
Mandy Griffiths

Hayao Miyazaki, famous Japanese animator of “Spirited Away” and the most recent “The Wind Rises” for whom the word ‘retirement’ means more ‘four month break’ than ‘finished with the business’ (he’s tried and failed twice now), has been honoured in the most recent episode of The Simpsons with an aquarium water fueled fantasy (or as Homer calls it, ‘fish wine’). See all your favourite Simpsons characters re-imagined manga style in the clip below. My favourite – a flying kite-in-the-sky Principal Skinner.
