Stars align for Conjuring spin-off

Stars align for Conjuring spin-off

Annabelle Wallis (“Peaky Blinders”) and Ward Horton (“The Wolf of Wall Street”) are set to star in “Annabelle”, a spin-off of New Line’s surprise 2013 high-grosser “The Conjuring”, according to The Wrap.

The project, first rumoured by Bloody Disgusting late last year, will be helmed by “Conjuring” cinematographer John Leonetti (“Conjuring” director James Wan takes an executive producer credit).

Gary Dauberman’s script tells the story of the creepy ‘Annabelle’ doll that appears in “The Conjuring”.

Previous reports suggested New Line might – in addition to plans for three spin-off movies, one being “Annabelle” – also be developing a sequel to “The Conjuring”.
