Sequel News : Creed, Salt 2, Dumber, Avengers

“Transformers” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura says a sequel to the Angelina Jolie film “Salt” is still a go (despite not having heard much about it in recent months). “I just read the ‘Salt 2’ script last week and we’ll be going into the studio soon, hopefully,” he said. “One of the mysteries of our business is what gets made, why it gets made, and when it gets made. It’s an exciting script and has a very daring idea,” he added. (Contact Music)

Sylvester Stallone has confirmed his commitment to “Creed”, the ‘Rocky’ spin-off starring Michael B.Jordan as Apollo Creed’s boxing grandson. Of the film, which is said to begin filming in February, Sly says “It’s very interesting because people think it would be ‘Rocky VII’ … it’s not, I have a supporting role. It will be great to take that character, who’s actually not well, and pass on his knowledge while he still has time. I think it could be a great movie and a great challenge. It is going to happen.” Asked whether or not he might consider doing a “Rocky” prequel based on Rocky’s late trainer ‘Mickey’ one day, Sly said “Believe it or not, in this film ‘Creed’ I [Rocky] sort of become Mickey Goldmill because as I’m getting older I find myself almost channelling him, if you know what I mean? Some of the things he says, like, ‘I’ll be an angel on your shoulder’, I’m going to be saying it to the next kid, and you realise how much he has gotten into my soul and my DNA.” (Breaking News)

The official account for the film have tweeted the first official tweet from “Dumb & Dumber To”

Mark Ruffalo, set to reprise his role as Hulk in “The Avengers : Age of Ultron”, says the script for the film is “better, it’s cooler, it’s more awesomer.” The actor, who has also expressed interest in doing a solo Hulk movie in the future, says the film will be “a little bit darker [than The Avengers]” but it’ll also have “Joss Whedon’s incredibly, witty and sly sense of humour.” (THR)
