Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson back for Pitch Perfect 2

Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson back for Pitch Perfect 2

Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are mid-throat gargle, prepping for Universal and Gold Circle’s “Pitch Perfect” sequel.

As expected (though considering how busy both are it also wouldn’t have been a surprise if their schedules had prevented either or both from doing it), Kendrick and Wilson have officially agreed to reprise their roles for “Pitch Perfect 2”, says The Hollywood Reporter. Elizabeth Banks, who’ll also likely reprise her role from the 2012 musical comedy in the movie, is directing the movie.

Since the release of “Pitch Perfect”, the careers of Kendrick and Wilson have flourished – the former with her roles in “Drinking Buddies”, “Rapture-Palooza”, “The Last 5 Years”, and Disney’s “Into the Woods”, while the latter with her own TV sitcom “Super Fun Night”, and the upcoming Chrissy release “Night at the Museum 3”. Kendrick’s also know a triple platinum recording artist, with her song ‘Cups’ – featured in the original “Pitch Perfect” – selling just under 3 million units.

It’s anticipated that most of the other girls from the original film, including Brittany Snow, Anna Camp and Alexis Knapp, will reprise their roles too but I guess until the trade’s declare it so, nothing’s official.
