Former “Smallville” star Michael Rosenbaum was, shortly before it was announced Jesse Eisenberg had been selected to play the role, championing himself for the Lex Luthor role in “Batman vs. Superman”. But in a new interview, the actor says he’d prefer to play The Flash – should anyone at the studio be willing to consider him for the upcoming “Justice League” movie. “I would lean toward The Flash kind of guy. The guy who wants to take light of the situation, when everyone is so upset and the world is dying he’s like, “Hey everything’s going to be alright! Let’s go bowling!”. That’s always been me. That’s kind of me and I’ve always had that temperance- the ability to make things better than they are. I think that’s my gift, honestly, is to entertain. I’d have to say I’d be closer to The Flash. I have some evil in me but I’d be positive for the most part.” (CineKatz)

Meanwhile, in other superhero-ish news, Marc Webb has signed on to do his third “Amazing Spider-Man” movie. The filmmaker’s a lock to complete his Spidey movie trilogy, with the third chapter hitting theaters in two years time. Sony has also announced that they hope to have a Spider-Man-related movie in the cinema once a year, with spin-offs fixing on the characters of the ‘Sinister Six’ and ‘Venom’ already in development.
