Is Mottola remaking Aykroyd-Belushi comedy Neighbors with Galifianakis and Hamm!?

Movie News

Greg Mottola (“Superbad”, “Adventureland”) is directing “Keeping up with the Joneses” for Fox2000, says Deadline.

The comedy, which sounds like an update of the John Belushi/Dan Aykroyd comedy “Neighbors” (1981), tells of a “a quiet, suburban cul de sac is turned upside down when an unfulfilled married couple begins to suspect that there’s something nefarious afoot with their sexy and charismatic new neighbors.”

Zach Galifianakis and Jon Hamm are the frontrunners to play the male leads.

Mike Lesieur wrote the pic, which will be produced by Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald.
