Harry Potter is coming to Hollywood!

Universal Studios has confirmed that “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will open at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2016.

Similar to the attraction at Universal Studios Orlando, which itself is due for expansion, the attraction will be based on the magical world of Harry Potter, as created by author JK Rowling and brought to the big screen by Warner Bros.

A colab between Rowling, Warner Bros. Entertainment and Universal Parks and Resorts, “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will be an interactive land designed from the Harry Potter landscape with Hogwarts Castle to serve as the focal point (… is it just me or is anyone else reminded of the Disney Land castle?!)

Universal Studios today tweeted: “It’s official! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ is coming to @UniStudios Hollywood in 2016!”
