Meg Ryan had landed the key voice-over role on CBS’s sure-to-be-greenlit “How I Met Your Dad” pilot.

The spin-off of the recently-departed “How I Met Your Mother” will feature the “When Harry Met Sally” star’s sweet vocals as ‘future Sally’ (played during the series by Greta Gerwig), says EW.

Bob Saget had a similar role to Ryan’s on “Mother”, providing the voice of older Ted.

Like the “Full House” star, Ryan won’t ever be seen on the show.

Though this is the actor’s first full-time TV gig, Ryan did recur on Showtime’s “Web Therapy”.
