PJ Byrne joins Scorsese’s rock n’ roll pilot for HBO

PJ Byrne will reunite with his “Wolf of Wall Street” helmer Martin Scorsese when he joins Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Juno Temple and Ray Romano in the cast of HBO’s untitled rock ‘n’ roll pilot, reports Deadline.

Set in 1970’s New York, the story follows record exec Richie Finestra (Cannavale) as he attempts to resurrect his label and find the next new sound. Byrne will play Finestra’s partner Scott Levitt.

Scorsese will direct and exec produce with an all star team including Mick Jagger, Terence Winter, Emma Koskoff, Victoria Pearman, Emma Tillinger Koskoff and Rick Yorn.

Production is likely to get underway in the US summer.
