Danny Cannon (“Judge Dredd”), currently on directing duties over on FOX’s “Gotham”, says he’s trying to convince the show’s creator to use classic Batman-villain Mr. Freeze.

“I have a big pitch with Bruno [Heller] about the Mr. Freeze character, whose origins are uncertain”, Cannon tells HitFix. “If I can win Geoff Johns over and if I can win Bruno over, then I look forward to the moment where that character can be realized.”

Bat-baddies set to turn up in the series, which fixes on a young Commissioner Gordon, include Catwoman, Fish Mooney, and The Penguin.

Mr. Freeze appeared in the 1997 film “Batman & Robin”; he was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
