Sequel News : Enchanted, Bad Boys, Pirates, Expendables, Star Wars, X-Men & more

Is that Kevin Smith tearing up? Who ‘gets it’ in “Jurassic World”? And how far away is a “Bad Boys 3”?

Disney has tapped J. David Stem and David N. Weiss, who co-wrote ”Shrek 2” and ”The Smurfs”, to pen the sequel to “Enchanted”, which Anne Fletcher (“The Guilt Trip”) is onboard to direct. The 2007 film starred Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and James Marsden. (Deadline)

The ratings board has officially given “The Expendables 3” a PG-13 rating in the United States. The first two films were rated R. It’s likely that the film will get an M Rating in Australia.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer says a fifth “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie (which he says will be more of a “straight Pirates” movie) and a third “Bad Boys” (“Well, we’re working on an outline right now. Hopefully we’ll get a screenplay in the next three months. And that will become a movie I hope”) are on the way (Collider).

“The Newsroom” hottie Olivia Munn is in talks to join Universal’s “Ride Along 2”. According to the trades, Munn’s schedule is being organized so that she can fit both the next season of HBO’s “The Newsroom” in, as well as the Ice Cube/Kevin Hart starrer. (Variety)

Bryan Singer has teased the treatment for “X-Men : Apocalypse” over on Instagram (essentially confirming that he’s still involved in the film).

A new image from “Batman vs. Superman” featuring Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent has been released.

“Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow has shared a bloody new still from the movie over on Twitter.

A number of behind-the-scenes images from “Star Wars : Episode VII” have been released, as have some pics of Harrison Ford hopping about on his injured leg. Meanwhile, filmmaker Kevin Smith visited the set and apparently walked away in tears.
