Tom Hardy starer “Child 44″ is set to be released across the US on April 17, 2015.

The thriller also stars Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke and Vincent Cassel in the Daniel Espinosa directed pic about a senior member of the secret police who is framed by a colleague.

Set in Stalinist Russia, the agent is exiled to a remote outpost where he discovers a series of mysterious murders and makes it his mission to catch the elusive killer.

Richard Price penned the script for the film which Ridley Scott, Greg Shapiro and Michael Schaefer produced.

Lionsgate will open the pic against Focus’ sci-fi flick “Selfless” and Sony’s “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2″.
