Batman & Robin scribe behind Space Invaders movie

Avika Goldsman’s Weed Road is planning to bring ’80s video-game classic “Space Invaders” to the big screen.

According to The Wrap, Matt Schwartz, VP of Weed Road/Safe House, helped track down and secure the rights, while WB exec Jesse Ehrman will oversee the project for the studio. Goldsman, Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell have come on to produce through Weed Road and Safehouse Picutres, respectively.

Goldsman’s credits include the Oscar winner “A Beautiful Mind”, “Batman & Robin” and “A Winter’s Tale”, which he also directed.
