“School of Rock” scribe Mike White is in negotiations to direct the big screen adaptation of Katherine Applegate’s children’s book ”The One and Only Ivan”.

The second season of FX’s “Fargo” will be a prequel, fixing on the younger version of Lou Solverson, the character played by Keith Carradine in the first season.

Amy Ryan and Alan Alda have joined the cast of Tom Hanks’s next, the Steven Spielberg-directed drama about the U-2 spy plane incident.

FX has passed on the Charlie Kaufman pilo “How & Why”, which was to star John Hawkes and Michael Cera.

Courtney James Clark is the latest addition to Colin Trevorrow’s dino-reboot “Jurassic World”.

Matthew McConaughey is considering starring in “The Company Man”, a Blacklist script “based on true events. CIA agent Edwin Wilson went behind enemy lines to secure a weapons contract and report information back to the CIA shortly after the Cold War.
