Jennifer Connelly and Ewan McGregor are set to team up for Lakeshore’s “American Pastoral”.

Connelly has boarded the project which Phillip Noyce is directing from a script that John Romano adapted from Phillip Roth’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel.

The story centres on a man who leads the seemingly perfect life; a legendary high school athlete, who grows up to marry a former beauty queen and inherits his father’s business. But this life is shattered when his daughter rebels and becomes a revolutionary, committing a deadly act of political terrorism during the Vietnam War.

With production set for March in Pittsburgh, Pa, Connelly is set to play Dawn, the wife of Swede Levov (McGregor).

Producers are Lakeshore toppers Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi.
