With Ed Helms and Christina Applegate already locked in, New Line has turned its attention to securing Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day to join its “Vacation” reboot.
Hemsworth and Day are in talks with the studio to join the cast of the remake of the Griswold’s “Vacation” flick.
Helms will play the grown up son, Rusty, who takes his own family on the road with Applegate starring as his wife. Hemsworth would play Stone Crandall, the husband of now grown up daughter Audrey and an up and coming anchorman. Day would be lined up to play a river raft touring guide.
David Dobkin of David Dobkin Prods will produce with Chris Bender while Jeff Kleeman and Marc Fischer exec produce.
