These two kids are going on a Vacation

Yesterday Moviehole reported that Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day are in negotiations to join New Line’s “Vacation” reboot.

Today we can add that the studio has found two young actors to play the children of now grown-up son Rusty Griswold.

Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins will play the boys, with Ed Helms playing Rusty and Christina Applegate set to take to the screen as his wife.

The film will see Rusty take his own family on the road just as he did with his family as a kid.

Of the casting, one half of the directing duo John Francis Daley said “The Griswolds are an iconic movie family and we knew we needed stellar actors to play the kids of the next generation. After a nationwide search, we found them in Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins.”

Moviehole recently had details on the film’s main characters, including the kids.

Daley will helm with his writing partner Jonathan Goldstein from a script they wrote. The pic will be their feature directorial debut.

David Dobkin of David Dobkin Prods will produce with Chris Bender while Jeff Kleeman and Marc Fischer exec produce.
