“Divergent’s” Theo James has landed a part in the fifth “Underworld” pic.
James initially appeared in the fourth instalment, “Underworld: Awakening”, as a vampire and ally to Kate Beckinsale’s character Selene.
Beckinsale, who has starred in all four films thus far, will not return for the fifth instalment.
Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi will produce the film with production likely to start in the US spring.
Lakeshore Entertainment’s vampire-werewolf series launched in 2003 with Len Wiseman directing the film titled “Underworld”. 2006’s “Underworld: Evolution” followed and then in 2009 “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans” bowed. In 2012 “Underworld: Awakening” was released.
The fifth instalment is yet to receive a title.
