Due to a scheduling clash, Tom Hardy has been forced to drop out of Warner’s “Suicide Squad”.
Per THR, The “Mad Max Fury Road” star is stuck on a longer-than-expected-shoot with Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s “The Revenant”; coupled with his upcoming publicity blitz for the new “Mad Max”, and Hardy had no choice but to give up the role of Rick Flagg.
Warners have apparently offered the role to Jake Gyllenhaal, but the “Nightcrawler” star has yet to respond.
Directed by David Ayer, “Suicide Squad” teams Batman foes Flagg, Deadshot (Will Smith), Joker (Jared Leto), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Boomerang (Jai Courtney) and Enchantress (Carla Delevingne). The film has an August 5, 2016 release date.
