Frank Grillo is in final talks to return to star in “The Purge 3”.
Franchise creator James DeMonaco is on board to write and direct the next instalment with Jason Blum, Sebastien Lemercier, Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller producing.
“The Purge” is set in a future where all crime is legalized for a 12-hour period on one day of the year (known as the Purge). Grillo starred in the sequel, “The Purge: Anarchy”, as a man who seeks revenge on the night of the Purge, only to get pulled into protecting a group of people who are left without shelter as purging begins.
With production slated for September, “The Purge 3” will open on July 1, 2016.
