Should Lionsgate go ahead with their proposed “Hunger Games” prequels, it looks like they’ll have to do so without star Jennifer Lawrence.
Last week Lionsgate Vice Chairman Michael Burns revealed the studio is looking at developing prequels to “The Hunger Games”.
But at the premiere of her new film “Joy”, Lawrence told Variety she isn’t interested in doing the prequels.
“I wouldn’t be involved,” Lawrence said. “I think it’s too soon. They’ve got to let the body get cold, in my opinion.”
So, the chances of seeing more “Hunger Games” films are looking significantly slimmer all of a sudden. You’d have to think Lionsgate would be crazy to go ahead with the franchise without J-Law… unless they’re going way, way into the past..?
