Production on “Ocean’s Eight” is still underway, with Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett headlining the female-led spinoff of “Ocean’s Eleven”.
Now, Mat Damon – who starred opposite George Clooney and Brad Pitt in “Ocean’s Eleven” – has revealed he’s set to make an appearance in the upcoming film.
“I’m doing a little bit in the movie,” Damon told ET. “I haven’t read it yet, but the cast is phenomenal and I’m excited to see what those women do with it. It’s going to be fun.”
Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina co-star in the project, with Gary Ross attached to direct.
In the film, Bullock will play the ex-con sister of Clooney’s “Oceans” character Danny Ocean. She and her right-hand woman (Blanchett) will form a team of thieves to steal a necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame a villainous gallery owner.
“Ocean’s Eight” will be released on June 8, 2018.
