Casting : Crowe, Oyelowo, Depp, del Toro, Arquette

Because sometimes small blurbs are enough.

Russell Crowe and David Oyelowo are flirting with “Arc of Justice”, a Mark Gordon Company project based on the Clarence Darrow-Ossian Sweet civil rights cases.
Oyelowo is a lock, Crowe’s negotiationing. Based on Kevin Boyle’s book, the Jose Padilha directed film tells of a racial incident in 1925 Detroit that put African-American doctor Ossian Sweet (Oyelowo) on the stand for murder. (Variety)

Johnny Depp is in talks for “Richard Says Goodbye”, a comedy-drama from Wayne Roberts. Depp plays Richard, a world-weary college professor who is given a life-changing diagnosis and then decides to throw all pretense and conventions to the wind and live his life as boldly and freely as possible – smoking, lots of sex, copious amounts of alcohol, and insulting anyone that peeves him off. Benicio del Toro and Patricia Arquette are looking to join Showtime series “Escape at Clinton Correctional”. Ben Stiller will direct and executive produce the show, an eight-episode drama about a prison break in upstate New York in 2015. (Variety)
