Antonio Banderas and Alec Baldwin are teaming for an untitled drama based on the competing clash between Ferruccio Lamorghini and Enzo Ferrari. The “Mask of Zorro” actor plays the former, with “30 Rock” star Baldwin playing Ferrari.
The Ambi Media Group production, based on a biographical novel by Tonino Lamorghini, will be shot in Italy under the title “Lamborghini – The Legend”.
Banderas’s Lamborghini will be the film’s central focus, as it explores his career as a manufacturer of tractors, military vehicles during the war, and ultimately, the sports car, which he launched in 1963.
Michael Radford (“The Postman”) directs a Bobby Moresco (“Crash”) script.
