I realise my headline makes it sound like Pikachu has begun a rampage, but it’s too funny in my head to warrant a change.
Aaaaanyways, news out of Legendary Entertainment and Universal camp is that “Detective Pikachu”, which stars Ryan Reynolds in the lead role (the voice of Pikachu), has begun filming. The film also stars Justice Smith as the Pokémon’s human partner, as well as Kathryn Newtown. Rob Letterman is directing.
Hopefully the beginning of filming will also result in a full cast list and synopsis for the film, which is due to hit cinemas in May 2019.
The first live-action Pokemon film is sure to be seen as a guinea pig for other potential Poke-films, as well.
