Directors Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul are set to team up with Jonah Hill to bring us a film about hackers in Vegas, Variety reports.
The film will be based on Kevin Poulsen’s Wired magazine article “Finding a Vegas Poker Bug Made These Guys Rich — Then Vegas Made Them Pay”.
The article details the workings of two hackers, Andre Nestor and John Kane, who found a glitch in video poker machines before amassing nearly $1 million in cash. They were eventually arrested in 2009.
Mogel and Paul recently bought the rights to the article with intentions of directing the potential film. Hill will produce the project via his 75 Year Plan company with Mogel and Paul.
