First image from the new Alien movie!

The first image revealed from Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” sequel is, appropriately enough, a logo of the franchise-staple Weyland-Yutani Corporation.

Released on Facebook on Wednesday, a picture showcasing the mission patch of the Covenant, the ship in the movie. That’s indeed the Ark of the Covenant on the patch there. Nice.

The Weyland-Yutani corp was first spotted (albeit with different spelling – there was no ‘d’ at the end of Weyland) in 1979’s “Alien” before becoming a bigger presence – with help from Paul Reiser – in 1986’s “Aliens”. It has since featured in all of the “Alien” films since, including “Alien vs. Predator”.

“Alien : Covenant” is currently lensing downunder.
