An American Werewolf in London howls again!

Cue the Credence!

John Landis’s own son will write and direct a remake of his father’s 1981 hit, “An American Werewolf in London”.

According to Deadline, Max Landis (“Chronicle”) has teamed with Universal, Robert Kirkman and David Alpert to bring back to theaters the classic horror-comedy – complete with Credence Clearwater Revival and a pre-“Who’s That Girl?” Griffin Dunne – about two kids hiking through New England territory who are attacked by a werewolf. The elder Landis will executive producer the new film, suggesting he’s more than all for a redo.

Apparently the remake has been on the cards for ten years — maybe they were waiting for Max to age?
