At long last! Winona Ryder and Jason Statham unite!

Winona Ryder is in talks to join the Jason Statham actioner “Homefront”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

James Franco recently signed to co-star in the Sylvester Stallone written film.

“Kiss the Girls” director Gary Fleder directs the film, also featuring child actor Izabela Vidovic, which is expected to begin filming next month in New Orleans.

The project, based on a book by Chuck Logan, centers on a an ex-DEA agent (Statham) who moves to a small town in the hope of a quiet life but runs afoul of a villainous meth kingpin named Gator (Franco).

Ryder will play a former biker chick partnered with Franco. Vidovic is playing Statham’s daughter.

The project features much of the same team from “The Expendables” films, including producers Stallone, Kevin King Templeton and Rene Besson. Avi Lerner and Trevor Short executive produce.
