Supes is about to get spoofed. Production is underway on “Avengers of Justice : The Farce Awakens”.
A poke at the superhero films of late, as well as the return success of the relaunched “Star Wars” franchise, the Richard Dane Scott-penned comedy sees SuperBat (you read right) having to save his kids from Dark Jokester and Lisp Luther.
Here’s the official synopsis :
There’s been a disturbance in the Farce. Will legendary crime-fighter, SuperBat, rescue his kidnapped children from the evil forces of Dark Jokester and Lisp Luther and before they are turned to the naughty side? With the help of Samuel L Fury, Yoga, Ironing Man, WebMaster, The Beaverine and a handful of other out of shape superheroes, Superbat must save the universe and restore balance to The Farce before it’s too late! The first superhero blockbuster spoof of its kind is sure to become the most timeless parody of all time. Forever. And ever.
The film is being represented at Toronto by Automatic Entertainment.
