Batman and Hunger Games stars board Lego movie

The unmistakable voices of Morgan Freeman and Elizabeth Banks will be heard in Warner’s “Lego” movie, according to Deadline.

The CGI tentpole, with “21 Jump Street” helmers Chris Miller and Phil Lord pushing tiny yellow heads onto free-moving toy bodies, tells of “an ordinary Lego mini-figure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil Lego tyrant from gluing the universe together.”

Freeman’s giving life to a character called Vitruvius, says the site. No word on who Banks is playing – but I’m just going to go out on a limb and suggest it ain’t the nymphet with a thing for hot-water and hoses from “40 Year-Old Virgin” she’s bringing back in Lego form.

Already onboard the film are Chris Pratt, playing the film’s Lego hero, and Will Arnett, who will cameo as ‘Batman’ in a scene that’ll feature the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel (word is Channing Tatum has been courted to voice the part of Superman, but nothing official on his involvement yet).

“Lego” is out Feb 28, 20414 – accessories sold separately.
