Meet Baywatch‘s new CJ Parker

Kelly Rohrbach (“Rizzoli and Isles,” “Wilt”) will take on the iconic role of CJ Parker – the character played by Pamela Anderson – in the feature film adaptation of classic TV series “Baywatch”.

Star and producer Dwayne Johnson, who stars alongside Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario in the movie, revealed the casting in a post on his Instagram.

A pleasure welcoming @kellyrohrbach to our #BAYWATCH family for the iconic role of “CJ Parker”. Yes, she’s a walking smoke stack but more importantly… she’s smart, tough and funny. Just the way we like ’em. Get ready world, we can’t wait to bring you our generation’s #BAYWATCH! You’ll have fun… ?????? (last emoji somewhat inappropriate).

The film, written by “Friday the 13th” scribes Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, is being directed by Seth Gordon (“Horrible Bosses”). While not a complete parody of the ‘Hoff’ original, the movie will be a comedy – said to be in the vein of the “21 Jump Street” movie.
