A couple of years back, Reese Wiitherspoon was attached to a little movie called “Whiteout”, which she told us was about “A U.S marshal, Carrie Stetko, and I have to uncover the first murder ever in the Antarctic, just before the sun sets for six months. Carrie has to catch him before the sun sets, or she would be stuck with him for six months in darkness!”
She seemed quite excited about the project at the time. Things can change though. For instance, I recently made the full-time switch from Pepsi Light to Pepsi Max.
“Whiteout”, as you may have read in the trades, is back on. Only now, it’s Kate Beckinsale – who, besides gender, doesn’t share much in common with Oscar Winner Reese – starring in the film.
The movie, based on a series of graphic novels, is set to start shooting mid-March in Montreal and Manitoba, says Production Weekly.
Dominic Sena (“Swordfish”) is directing.
