While on that set visit to the set of “Justice League”, media got to chat to ‘Batman’ himself Ben Affleck who confirmed that he’s directing a Batman solo movie. I know, I know.. we know that, right!? Well, I dunno.. Affleck hasn’t come out and confirmed it, so I guess that’s the scoop. He’s seemingly not backing out. He’s going to ‘Argo’ up the DCEU.
Affleck, an executive producer on “Justice League”, said he hasn’t got a script yet for the film but suggests the storyline of his film will connect to next year’s movie.
“I’ve been on the end of the things when you make movies when you have a script that’s not good yet and it doesn’t pan out”, Affleck said when asked for an ETA on the script and why it’s taking a while to lock in one he locks.
Affleck says we’ll see more of the ‘detective’ Batman in his future installments, beginning with “Justice League”.
“[He’s] a little bit more sardonic, humor, a little more irony. He’s on a little more man on a mission this time.”
Affleck’s solo “Batman” flick is rumoured to be titled, simply, “The Batman”. Could change.
