Ben Affleck to star in con man flick Focus

Now that he’s conquered directing, Ben Affleck’s ostensibly out to convince Hollywood he’s a worthwhile male lead again.

The “Argo” director and star is in talks to star in heist project “Focus”, from “Crazy, Stupid, Love” writer-directors Glen Ficcara and John Requa.

The Hollywood Reporter, noting that Affleck is a favourite of Warner Bros right now, says of the film :

Focus is a two-hander about a con man who becomes romantically involved with a novice. He is then thrown off his game when the former flame shows up just as he’s staging an elaborate con in Buenos Aires.

Before “Focus”, Affleck will be seen in another two-hander, “Runner, Runner” opposite Justin Timberlake.

Refn says Gosling’s Driver character may return, but not in a sequel
