A standalone “Batman” movie is officially in the works with Ben Affleck on board to direct and star in the film.
Warner Bros. chief Kevin Tsujihara confirmed the news on Tuesday at CinemaCon.
Warner Bros has committed to 10 DC films through to 2020, this year’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Suicide Squad” are included in that 10 along with “Wonder Woman”, “Justice League” Part One and Two, “Aquaman”, “Cyborg”, and “The Flash”.
Affleck will also appear in the “Justice League” movies, with production on “Part One” already underway in London.
