Bruckheimer finds his man for Man

“Troy” scribe paid a truckload for new actioner

Jerry Bruckheimer has tapped David Benioff (“Troy”) to bring “Gemini Man” – a rejected “Super Friend”, wasn’t he? – to the big screen, says Variety.

Disney’s inked a deal with the scribe that’ll see him pocket a sweet $2 million to write the long-gestating project. The film tells of an over-the-hill hitman forced to do battle with a younger clone of himself.

Bruckheimer has been attached as a producer on the pic for about nine years now – in other words, way before we saw the possibilities in turning theme park rides into films.
